"Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It
turns what we have into enough, and more."
|
"It turns denial into acceptance, chaos into order,
confusion into clarity ... it turns problems into gifts, failures into success, the unexpected into perfect timing, and mistakes
into important events."
|
"Gratitude
makes sense of our past, brings peace for today and creates a vision for tomorrow."

The residents of The Glass
House and The Holden House are, like the violin, “battered and scarred” from drug abuse and alcoholism. These
men and women came to the treatment centers with lives “out of tune,” realizing that they must change their behavior
in order to change their lives.

The Glass House and The
Holden House give these people a safe place to reorganize their lives and develop new behaviors that will allow them to function
effectively in society. It is a struggle, yet daily they work on recovery from their addictions, and seek new skills for living
their lives. They are reaching out for help. It is a “thoughtless crowd” that doesn’t offer a helping hand.
